Streamlined checkout process emphasizes usability and sales conversion

New York, NY, June 11, 2011 - PhotoShelter (http://www.photoshelter.com), the worldwide leader in photography portfolio websites, sales and marketing tools for photographers, today unveiled a full redesign of its e-commerce checkout process in addition to several new e-commerce features that can help photographers sell more images from their PhotoShelter websites. Over 70,000 photographers use PhotoShelter websites and tools to sell photo prints and products, or license their photography as rights managed, royalty free or personal use downloads.

"We've redesigned the complete buying process for PhotoShelter websites, from adding items to your cart all the way through checkout, to make purchasing images from PhotoShelter photographers a more elegant, streamlined and user-friendly experience," said PhotoShelter CEO Allen Murabayashi. "This is more than just a paint job. We've eliminated unnecessary steps in the checkout process and increased the visibility of critical e-commerce buttons and links. Among the new e-commerce features also released today, photographers may now create and sell custom photo packages (aka bundles) of images, a feature commonly requested by event and portrait photographers. In addition, PhotoShelter has added Authorize.net® as a payment gateway option, a service which allows photographers to collect payment from customers directly at the point of sale in a completely integrated user interface, augmenting the popular PayPal™ processing option.
