PHOTOSHELTER INTRODUCES STRIPE, A NEW INTEGRATED PAYMENT PROCESSOR
PhotoShelter fully integrates Stripe, an additional online payment processor
to help photographers sell photos from their websites
New York, NY, January 19, 2012 - PhotoShelter (http://www.photoshelter.com), the worldwide leader in photography portfolio websites, sales and marketing tools for photographers is pleased to announce the integration of Stripe, a new payment processor now available with all PhotoShelter websites. PhotoShelter is one of the first major online companies to offer Stripe to its customers.
"We're delighted that PhotoShelter is using Stripe to power photographers' businesses,” says John Collison, Co-Founder of Stripe. “PhotoShelter provides a fast, beautiful, and lightweight way for photographers to get set up, which naturally appeals to our sensibilities at Stripe. PhotoShelter joins the ranks of companies like Shopify and Ronin which integrate Stripe for easy and powerful on-site payments."
For photographers who want to sell photos from their websites, PhotoShelter’s Stripe integration provides an exciting alternative to current options because it is fully integrated, unlike other solutions that direct the buyer away from the photographer’s website to complete the transaction. As a result, the full purchasing experience takes place right inside the photographer’s website. There are no monthly or setup fees with Stripe, and no contract, only a 2.9% processing fee and $.30 per transaction, so it provides an affordable, flexible option that is ideal for independent photographers.
The Stripe integration is PhotoShelter members’ fourth option for accepting payments, including PayPal, Authorize.net, and Netbilling as well.
