Social networks and media have become an increasingly powerful way to keep in contact with friends, family and clients. And savvy photographers are even using facebook to attract new business. So we're psyched to announce our "post to facebook" capability. You can now export a gallery to facebook, or post a link on your wall back to PhotoShelter (this is perfect if you're concerned about their terms & conditions).
FotoQuote member special and more!Cradoc fotoSoftware, the maker of fotoQuote, fotoBiz and the fotoKeyword Harvester software is offering PhotoShelter users a discount on their great software from now until the end of the year. As you might know, we use fotoQuote to power our rights-managed licensing engine, and we've worked with Cradoc Bagshaw for years to empower the individual photographer. Over 17,000 images from 170 countries were submitted for the Magnum Expression Award and we're please to announce the winner, Bieke Depoorter, from Belgium — a 2009 masters of photography graduate from KASK. Bieke was working in a photography store when she was notified of the prize. We're excited that the $10,000 grant will allow her to pursue her photography!
APA Awards WinnersThe Advertising Photographers of America announced the winners of its 2009 APA National Photo Competition. Special congratulations go to Ross Andersson who claimed the Grand Prize for his series of architectural images. W Magazine is searching for inspiring camera work that depicts the concept of Obsession. The winning photographer will receive a grand prize package that includes agency consultation, a Nikon DSLR, PhotoShelter Pro Account and W Magazine promotional feature. The judges include W's renowned creative director Dennis Freedman and our very own Allen Murabayashi.
