After the Collins and Dodson climbed to the top of the machine and locked down, the others, Ash-Lee Henderson, Jared Story, Tanya Turner, Kim Kirkbride, Will Wickham and Mathew Louis-Rosennberg unpack the banner and prepare to lock down themselves, just before dawn on May 23, 2009. The activists locked down for 5 hours and were subsequently arrested by the Boone County Sheriff's office. All told, ten law enforcement officers from three separate agencies responded to the protest on Kayford Mountain.
