Detva region, situated in central Slovakia under Polana, one of the biggest extinct volcanos in Europe, is famous for unique folklore architectural jewels - painted wooden crosses. Unfortunately, the art of manufacturing wooden crosses is threatened. Masters are old and they have no successors.
