Founded by Leslie Hawke (mother of the American actor Ethan Hawke) who first came to Romania in 2000 as a volunteer with the Peace Corps, Ovidiu Rom seeks to help put impoverished Romanian children in school and has helped thousands of children throughout out reach programs in the field at the village level.
