The Anza-Borrego Desert State Park is the largest in California's state park system and is located east of San Diego and just west of the Salton Sea and adjacent to the Mexico border. The images in this gallery were made in 2005 when the southwest deserts experienced a historic flush of lush spring growth and verdant growth because of the past few seasons having above normal rainfall.
