With her writing she enjoys mixing words into various creative forms - short stories, novels, and articles for newspapers and magazines. Editorial and photojournalism are her photographic specialities, and they complement her writing. She is expert at capturing the essence of a person, place, or thing and tries to uncover the truth in all all of its myriad forms. A snapshot of reality, not just a pretty picture, is what she strives for.
Ellen is equally at home within the concrete confines of a city, or the rolling fields of a country landscape, because as she describes it, "imagination is present everywhere."
