Cool but mild winters and warm, dry summers are the shared characteristics of Italy's Tuscany region and the Pacific Northwest. This accomplished homeowner installed a Tuscan-themed, Mediterranean style garden around her mid-century home in the heart of a residential neighborhood in Seattle. With hilltop views of the distant lake and mountains, her location also backs to a golf course and so offers a borrowed landscape of rolling green hills.
