Xiahe is a small town in Gansu province, China, but dominated by Tibetan monks, and swelled by a constant flow of pilgrims. The Labrang Monastery is one of 5 sacred sites for Tibetan Buddhists. Pilgrims walk the 3km circuit around the monastery, spinning the prayer wheels and chanting, to accrue merit or forgiveness for past sins.
