NCNG 30th Brigade Heavy Combat Team deploys to Iraq

April 16, 2009. Pope Air Force Base, NC.. Members of the North Carolina National Guard's 30th Brigade Heavy Combat Team leave Pope Air Force Base for a 12 month tour in Iraq. In all, approximately 4,000 soldiers from the 30th HBCT are deploying and this will be the Brigade's 2nd deployment since 2003.
