June 4, 2009. Raleigh, NC. Due to the economic downturn, the state of North Carolina has proposed the closing of the Governor Morehead School, a school for the visually impaired in Raleigh. If no solution is found the school could be moved out of Raleigh, or merged with the state's schools for blind and deaf children.
