About Photofeature

Lara Platman is the Director of Photo Feature Ltd. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts & Brother of the Art Workers Guild. Her work can be found in the collections of the Australian National Library.
She has a regular column with Hoop-Lab & is a contributer to The-latest.com

Based in London Lara's clients include dance, theatre & opera companies, dancers, musicians, theatre venues & festivals. She also works for Heritage organisations, film & television companies along with international magazines & newspapers.

Over the past 15 years her dance photography has taken her all over the world. Studying dance techniques in class, capturing dress rehearsals, producing promotional & advertising images.

Lara loves shooting quintessentially British events such as Re-enactments & classic car racing. She has just started to photograph women racing drivers & has been commissioned by Frances Lincoln Publishing to photograph & write a book on Harris Tweed.

Since 2007, Lara has been curator for a rolling exhibition on the mezzanine level at Tower 42 in the City of London, of Brethren from the Art Workers Guild. Every 2 months, three different artists & makers exhibit a selection of their work & tools of the trade. This exhibition is seen daily by over 4000 people.
