COCAINE - Bolivia, Broken Promises is the story of a whole region of desperate indigenous people who cannot choose - and quite literally carry on their backs the effects of the increasing demand for cocaine in Europe and North America.
The miners living in the Altiplano leave their region as consequence of a fratricide war, looking for a fresh start in the Chapare region, with drug trafficking.
The aim of this story is to show how thousands of families and children risk their lives and die to deliver an artificial happiness in the developed countries, living under constant blackmail and threatened by the Counter narcotics Police, and the big lie of a failed, 45 years old, "War on Drugs" used by the US Government as mere pretext to keep geopolitical on the South American Continent.
