Former director of the Austrian Federal Office of Criminal Investigation, Herwig Haidinger (54) portrayed in Vienna.

After Haidinger was withdrawn from his function in February of 2008 he brought charges against executives of the Ministry of the Interior and politicians saying that they have manipulated investigations for party interest. He refered to political influence during the BAWAG scandal and investigation errors during the search for kidnapped Natascha Kampusch.
