The Kosi River (also called the River of Sorrow), mighty tributary of the Himalaya streams, caused a dam to burst in neighboring Nepal leading to the biggest flood India has known in half a century.
Every monsson, the river turns into a destructive force of nature, wiping out crops, sweeping away villages and killing people. 394 square miles have been impacted by the flood, 3 millions of Indians affected (WHO), 250.000 houses destroyed and over 1 million people left without shelter....
