San Francisco Academy of Sciences

The greenest museum in the world, designed by renowned architect Renzo Piano, recently opened its doors. The 400,000 square foot structure at Golden Gate Park houses a planetarium, a 4-story rainforest, an aquarium and a natural history museum. It has a green roof and lower electricity bills thanks to passive heating and cooling, plus solar panels.
