This site is the only dedicated archive of modern military photography that includes extensive model-releases and images that comply with US Department of Defense regulations for advertising and promotional use. These photographs have been made through special cooperation of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. Nearly all photography on this site is the work of Hans Halberstadt, a combat veteran and author of over sixty books, most on modern military topics.
