Jean Webster, a former casino sous chef, started feeding homeless people and others in need after seeing a man rummage through the trash to find food. Originally based out of her home, Sister Jean's Soup Kitchen now serves 300-500 people a day at the First Presbyterian Church in Atlantic City. Situated in the shadows of the glitzy casinos, the kitchen offers a free meal to those who are homeless, poor or down on their luck.
