Ballywater Wind Farm, located between the villages of Kilmuckridge and Ballygarrett in County Wexford, is a prime example of the proactive approach in the development of wind energy sector in Ireland. This wind farm commenced operations in 2005, has a capacity of 42 MW and consists of 21 wind turbines.
