The garlic vine is a liana (Mansoa alliacea) and, when crushed, smell like garlic. it is even used as substitute for garlic in food.The plant is said to help get rid of bad luck. Shamans beleive that to communicate with spirit, they need a special diet and garlic vine is one of the favorites.
