Forest products usage (vegetal extrativism). Riverside dweller with açaí from a palm tree (Euterpe precatoria), used for drinking juice, a thick, dark purple liquid obtained by maceration of the pulp of the ripe fruits. A liquid from the roots is used to treat malaria. The palm is harvested for edible palm heart (the apex).
