With his sensitive and penetrating eye, Milon looks around and documents places, situations, people, and most of all feelings and emotions and then transfers the images he exposes to the spectator who cannot but identify with him.

As one the important documentors of Jerusalem, Milon has amassed a rare collection of pictures connected with the city of his birth and through them expresses his special connections with the city and his love for it. - buildings, people, views, and the special feeling that he manages to absorb in his photographs. In his way, far from the glitter and far from the crowd, Milon continues to enrich our world with his sensitive works and to move us."

Reuven Milon graduated from the Bezalel School of Art in 1950. He began to photograph in 1949 and bought his first camera after his demobilization from the Army and his return from captivity in Jordan. After many years as an amateur he decided in 1967 to pursue photography full time as a profession - working for many Jerusalem institutions including the Israel Museum.

Over the years, from 1954 to 2002, Milon has participated in many exhibitions, some of them milestones in Israeli photography. He has shown at the old Bezalel in Jerusalem (the forerunner of the Israel Museum); the Artists House, Jerusalem; and the Israel Museum, Jerusalem. He has also been awarded prizes for photography, the last being the Kavlin Prize in 2008 at the Israel Museum, for his life's work.
