Roy Brody - Photographer, Raconteur, Tour Guide, Teacher

Roy was born and raised in Great Britain. Before coming to Israel in 1963 he had a three-year travel odyssey to Greece, Turkey (teaching English) and U.S.A. Studied at Art Center, Los Angeles. On his return to England worked as a newspaper photographer, including for the Guardian and the Observer.

Roy was born and raised in Great Britain. Before coming to Israel in 1963 he had a three-year travel odyssey to Greece, Turkey (teaching English) and U.S.A. Studied at Art Center, Los Angeles. On his return to England worked as a newspaper photographer, including for the Guardian and the Observer.

After working on kibbutz, he started his photographic activity in Israel. Roy has worked extensively with Israel's major industrial companies in the Haifa area, has taught photography, and his work has been included in many group exhibitions. He is a member of the artists' village of Ein Hod. After the Yom Kippur War of 1973 he became a licensed tour guide; this continuing until the present.
