Fossil bird, Gallinuloides wyomingensis, Fossil Butte National Monument, Wyoming, USA There are very few places in the world where complete bird fossils can be found. These bird fell into a lake and was covered with sediments before torn apart by scavengers, an extremely rare occurrence.
