Ornithopod Dinosaur Tracks in the Dakota Sandstone. The tracks were made on a coastal plain beside the Western Interior Seaway during the Cretaceous period, about 100 million years ago. Ornithopods were quadrapedal herbavores. The size of the track suggests this dinasaur was about 20-30 feet long.
