About Wendy Marijnissen
Wendy Marijnissen is based in Belgium where she was mostly working in the theatre and music world, doing assignments for Cultural Centers, musicians and theatre companies.
From portraiture, performances to the backstage life.
In 2004 she travelled to Nashville, Memphis and New Orleans to capture the different music styles there.
After that, she went to Morocco to follow the travels of theatre company Theater Stap, a group that work with mentally disabled actors in a professional way.
She recently finished working on a long term project on music in both Israel and Palestine. Showing how people live and how different forms of music run through their lives. Showing the simularities and differences. A different way of looking at the ongoing conflict in the area. From hip hop, weddings, the IDF orchestra to classical music in refugee camps.
