Escanaba, Michigan, April 9, 2010 - A woman welcomes the Tea Party Express to their second of nine Michigan stops at Ludington Park. The TPX made a heavy push through the Democratic-leaning Upper Peninsula, known locally as the U.P. (pronounced yoop), in an effort to intimidate Representative Bart Stupak. This push coincided with a $250,000 ad campaign run by TPX against Stupak. Coincidentally Stupak announced his retirement the following morning. .
