Near Petoskey, Michigan, April 10, 2010 - Sal Russo, Co-Founder and Chief Strategist for Our Country Deserves Better PAC/Tea Party Express, who spends most of his time working behind the scenes, works in his bus office en route to Petoskey. Russo's political consulting firm Russo March, which basically runs the Tea Party Express, and its media arm King Media Group have seen its fortunes rise with that of the Tea Party. The PAC known as Our Country Deserves Better when it was founded during the 2008 election as a vehicle to oppose Barack Obama's campaign for president, saw its fundraising more than quadruple after it took the Tea Party Express public in July, raising nearly $2.7 million in roughly the following six months, compared with less than $600,000 in the preceding six months, according to Federal Election Commission filings. The two firms, Russo March and King Media Group, have received $1.9 million of the $4.1 million in payments made by the PAC.. « less
