St. Charles, Missouri, April 5, 2010 - Angry Tea Party supporters surround an Obama supporter who is carrying a sign that read, "Yes We Did" during a Tea Party Express rally at Frontier Park in St. Charles, MO, the nineteenth stop in a 43-city tour across the country, which will conclude with a large rally in Washington, D.C. on April 15, Tax Day. Park police eventually stepped in to calm the arguments. The Tea Party Express tour titled "Just Vote Them Out" is taking an aggressive approach by targeting Democratic incumbents competitive districts, as well as Republicans deemed not conservative enough who are facing primary challenges from more conservative candidates. While not endorsing any candidates so far, the Tea Party Express does not hide its desire to replace incumbents with new conservatives that more closely hew to its goals of smaller government and less taxes.. « less
