Los Angeles, California, November 27, 2010 - OK Go bassist/singer Tim Nordwind (center) with band mates during a sound check before their show at the Nokia Club. OK Go was wrapping up a 16-month world tour by playing a song for Yo Gabba Gabba! during the day and later a final show across the street at the Nokia Club. The Grammy Award-winning band has earned considerable fame for their creative, often low-budget music videos that are released on YouTube. Many have gone viral, including the 2006 video for "Here It Goes Again", where the band performs a complex routine on treadmills. It has received over 50 million views to date. Lead singer, Damian Kulash says the band left their major label and began their own to assert more creative control over their music and their videos. Adding, "We're among the first musicians to view our YouTube videos as standalone artistic output, not advertisement for our recordings, and it shows in the numbers: over the past decade, we've sold a little over 600,000 records globally, and our videos have combined views in excess of 125 million.".. « less
