Dr. Ninh Duc Nguyen watches Dr. Steve Charles, of Memphis, perform a retina reattachment surgery on board the ORBIS Flying Eye Hospital on Wednesday, April 15, 2008. The operating room is only big enough for two additional observing doctors during surgery.  All operations are broadcasted in a theater at the front of the plane for additional doctors to watch. The ORBIS program contributed to the efforts of Ho Chi Minh City Eye Hospital in fighting avoidable blindness by educating local ophthalmologists to diagnose and manage pediatric blindness, retinal disease, oculoplastics, and blindness due to glaucoma..
