A Scully Packing Company dumps rotting pears in Finley, CA on Tuesday, September 12, 2006. The plant typically discards less than a truckload a season, while this season due to a lack of laborers they're discarding 4-6 truckloads per day. Stepped-up border enforcement has led to a shortage of migrant labor which has left much of the pear crop rotting on the tree and ground in Lake County.
