Founded more than twenty years ago by Valerie Taylor, CRP’s coordinator, the centre looks after people from all walks of life. Rich and poor alike are brought in to receive treatment after an accident or an injury that would normally spell permanent disability. Thanks to the help and treatment they receive many of the patients are able to pursue their lives almost normally. By learning new skills during their stay at the centre they are able to support themselves and are no longer seen as a burden by their families. ..In addition the centre has a section for children with special needs, a women’s section and a university for training future physiotherapists and occupational therapists to degree standard...My overall impression of this organisation was a very positive one. The environment was pleasant and uplifting despite some of the patients’ suffering.
