Grumman F8F Bearcat Air Racer "Rare Bear"

Rare Bear, piloted by John Penney, taxies prior to a heat race during the 2008 Reno Championship Air Races. Penney piloted the highly modified Grumman Bearcat during the Unlimited Gold Championship Race but did not finish due to a failure of the Pratt & Whitney R3500 engine.
