New York NY - 9 August 2008 - New Yorkers cycled, jogged, skated and walked on the first Saturday of Summer Streets. The Car-Free event opened up almost 7 miles of car-free streets along Centre Street, Lafayette Street, Fourth Avenue and Park Avenue, from the Brooklyn Bridge to 72nd Street and Central Park. Two cyclists riding a recumbent tandem bicycle on the Grand Central Viaduct.
