Sherman Smoot flies the Unlimited Air Racer Czech Mate during heat races at the Reno National Championship Air Races held annually at Stead Field, Nevada. Czech Mate, a modified Yak 11 powered by a Pratt & Whitney R2800 Radial Engine , finished 4th in the Gold Unlimited Finals with a speed of 424.517 mph
