Mausoleum Dedication
Flanked by an honor guard, Bishop Begin and his casket rest on the catafalque which once served as the main altar table at the St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. On All Souls Day the body of Bishop Floyd Begin, the first Bishop of the Diocese of Oakland, was moved from the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward to the Cathedral of Christ the Light where Bishop John Cummins and Bishop Allen Vigneron dedicated the new mausoleum in Oakland, California on November 2, 2008.
