  • Rundetårn (The Round Tower). Copenhagen, Denmark. The Tower is 35 meter high with an inner cobbled spiral ramp of 209 meter (686 ft) and was erected by King Christain the 4th intended as an observatory (his insignia is seen at the front). He designed so he could ride his horse up the tower, thus the inner ramp. Tzar Peter the Great of Russia is said to have done the same ride. An annual bicycle race is doing a modern day stunt.   • Yellow House in the old fishing village, Dragør with paving stone alleys.  Dragør (Dragoer), near Copenhagen, Denmark. Dragør, only 10 KM outside Copenhagen, was in the Middle Age an important harbour for landing of the Baltic herrings. "Dragør" means a sandy beach where the fishing boats are dragged on land. Ducth settlers built in 1520 the harbour, which in the 19th century became one of the largest in the country. Today the harbour is popular call for pleasure boats.   • House covered with traditional rush mats. Hesnæs, Lolland-Falster, Denmark. Hesnæs is a small fishing village at the shore of the Baltic Sea. Here rush mats was used to issolate the houses against the cold Eastern wind from the Baltic and to protect the mud-built walls.   • Valdemars Slot (Castle). Tåsinge, Denmark. The castle was built by Christain the 4th and was finalized in 1644, for just a few years later beeing destroyed during the war between Denmark and Sweden, 1658-59. The Danish hero of the war, Admiral Niels Juel, who victoriously lead a small fleet against a superior Swedish fleet at Koege Bugt, received the castle from the King (due to the fact that the bankrupt Treasury could not pay him his was prize in cash) and restored it.   • The Red Castle. Tranekaer Castle (Tranekær Slot). Tranekær, Langeland. Denmark. Tranekær Slot was known already from the mid 13th century as a heavily  reinforced castle with moat and drawbridge. In the 17th century the place was taken over by count von Ahlefeldt and was until recently owned by the same family. One of the Ahlefeldt, Fredrik Ahlefeldt Laurvig, was a strong supporter of the famous H. C. Andersen and created the theater in Odense where the autoher had his first plays set up.   • Water mill wheel. Kaleko Vandmølle (near faaborg), Denmark. Kaleko Watermill stands today as when it was built around year 1600 (there was a water mill here since 1400). It features a small but interesting museum, telling the story about the miller and his family. It was a grain mill until 1912 and from 1917 a museum with excibits from the 19th century.
