Next to the kids at this small strip of park in the old colonial area of Guangzchou, are somebody playing badminton, old people doing stretch exercises at tools the city has put to their disposal, others are doing more traditional things.   • "Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest" at the Temple of Heaven, with the carved Dabi stone, is the very landmark of Beijing,  was built in 1420 during the reign of the Ming emperor Yongle. The temple is 38 meter high and 24 meter in diameter, supported by enormous pillars, symbolising the 4 seasons, the 12 month of the year and the 12 divisions of the day and night.
