A DIRTY DOZEN - Thirteen Photographs is analogous to the temper of a film noir in ambiguity, mystery and style. ARTIST STATEMENT

A DIRTY DOZEN - Thirteen Photographs is analogous to the temper of a film noir in ambiguity, mystery and style. It echoes the vibe of a Jazz lick hanging in the air, or the meditative prayer of a Haiku written in the sand. Like the calliope at a carnival, it compels you to take a ride. It's a mood that stirs a forgotten emotion or an attitude that brings to mind a familiar reminiscence that is at times personal, and at times collective in its experience.

Images are captured. The thirteen images I chose to capture were each shot at a fraction of a second - a blink of an eye. If you add up the total time represented by these thirteen photographs you are glancing at a hair more than 1/5 of a second. Those moments are gone. All that remains are the ghosts of those instances.

A DIRTY DOZEN - Thirteen Photographs only asks that you take the time to reflect, meditate, ponder and allow it to invoke passions and impressions you've forgotten, or have never sensed.
