Acid Attacks in Bangladesh(21 images)
Since 1967 in Bangladesh, acid has been used as a weapon. It is usually thrown in the victims face or on the body. It is mainly used against women, often when they refuse the sexual advances of men, or an offer of marriage. In recent years it has also been used as a result of land disputes.
