These air drops are destined for the nearly 30,000 non-Arab Sudanese living in Kirinding IDP camp who were forced to flee their homes by the government sanctioned Janjaweed Arab Militias.  Air drops though extremely costly are necessary due to the road conditions during the rainy season which have caused month long delays in the delivery of food to Darfur's nearly 3 million internally displaced persons.
