Sodom and Gomorrah may very well lie at the bottom of the Dead Sea--as the Old Testament goes--where two cities of sinners perished under Gods' wrath of fire & brimstone, receiving a dose of collective punishment for extreme over indulgence...A visit to today's Dead Sea appears innocuous enough--as tourists play and revel in mud & sea, the biblical tale of carnage worlds away from the bikinis and luxury five star hotels permeating the coast. Yet a closer glance reveals just a hint, a reminder of religious ceremony and subversion paying an unwitting homage to the saga of the perished cities.
