Deadly Swine Flu outbreak in Mexico City(52 images)
A deadly Swine Flu has hit Mexico city. This weekend the World Health Organization is convening an expert panel to determine whether to raise its pandemic flu alert level. We're at level 3. If the panel finds evidence of "increased human-to-human transmission" it goes to level 4. If there's evidence of "significant human-to-human transmission," it goes to level 5.

  • 19 April 2009,  San Luis Potosi, Mexico--- Two pigs root around the under the underbrush in the Mexican state of San Luis Potosi which has seen 27 cases of a new deadly strain of Swine Flu. 3 of the infected people have died. The virus is unlike any that researchers have seen before. She has been sick for two weeks, and came to the hospital after recieving a news report about the Swine Flu on her cell phone.   • 24 April 2009, Mexico City, Mexico--- Patients and familes wait outside the emergancy room of the Iztapalapa General Hospital. The hospital has seen a dramatic increase in people complaining of Flu like symptons. The hospital has also had people die from a Flu like illnesss.
