Nature conservationist Douglas Tompkins posses for a portrait at his nature reservation park near to Chaiten city, 1225 km south Santiago, Chile on Friday 22, February 2008. Former US business man, Douglas Tompkins was the founder and owner of the fashion house Esprit, since 18 years he is living Southern Chile buying forests and protecting them. They principal conservationist project is the Pumalin Park, a private reserve whit 320.000 ha now whit Nature Sanctuary status. Tompkins supports The Conservation Land Trust (a U.S. environmental foundation) that now finds buy more lands to protect in Chile and Argentina.
