  • Jewish men pray at the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem. The Wall, a place of pilgrimage that is considered the holiest spot in Judaism, has been at the epicenter of religious tensions for two millennia. In 2007, Jews celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Six Day War, in which Israel wrested control of the Wall from Jordan. The Arab nation had denied Jews access to the site for 20 years.   • Canoga Park Alabama gang members flash a gun and a CPA sign in the northern parking lot of Lanark Park. Police identify CPA members in part by their dress, which can include white tennis shoes, baggy pants or shorts with long socks and oversized white, blue or black T-shirts. CPA gang members also shave their heads, wear black sunglasses and carry blue bandanas. A gang injunction outlining a 4.65-square mile area of the city prohibits known gang members from associating with other members, drinking alcohol in public, intimidating witnesses and being out from 10 p.m. to sunrise, among other off-limits behavior.
