As the country struggles in the worst economic crisis since the great depression, many families and individuals are being forced into a financial death pit. For the midwest, this has been a slow painful downfall that has been ongoing far longer then the majority of the country. As factories and blue collar jobs have been on the decline since the early eighties the Midwest has yet to find a solid new base of employment plaguing the region with in some area double digit unemployment rates.
