The North Carolina Tar Heels hosted the Florida State Seminoles in Atlantic Coast Conference NCAA college Division I football at Kenan Stadium on Thursday, October 22, 2009 in Chapel Hill, N.C. FSU head football coach Bobby Bowden managed his team to a come-from-behind 30-27 win. FSU quarterback Christian Ponder threw for 395 yards and three touchdowns on Thursday night. UNC head coach Butch Davis has the added pressure of having Tar Heel football legend Lawrence Taylor at field level as well as current NFL star and former UNC great Julius Peppers to impress. The 2009 season saw Florida State start 0-3 in ACC play which made the win enormous for Bobby Bowden who has been the subject of much controversy concerning his future as head coach.
