  • A resident of Jackson, Tennessee, who did not wish to be identified, but posed for a portrait the day after two tornadoes ripped through the downtown area, tearing the roof off of his house. The storm killed 11 people, destroyed hundreds of homes and buildings, and left 20,000 residents without electricity. By photographer Brian Leddy

  • Marie Sanchez, who often goes by the name Crazy Mary, peers out of her front door amid hanging clothes at her home in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Sanchez is a dumpster diver, spending much of her time collecting odds and ends she finds while rummaging through trash bins.
